Monument Valley has been voted the best overall game of 2014, winning the ‘Grand Prix’ Prize at the 11th International Mobile Gaming awards in San Francisco.
Monument Valley is a game resembling an Escher drawing (but more colorful), in which you guide a princess through strange castle-like levels by manipulating the buildings and geometry around her. We atAppztrack have long sung the pretty puzzler’s praises, and think it’s one of the most mesmerizing experiences you can have on your Android phone or tablet.
The winners at IMGA were picked by a jury of 16 journalists, gamers and industry experts, who had to filter 1000 game submissions down to 80 nominees, before picking a winner. Given the size of the competition, that makes Monument Valley a must-play game in our eyes.
Monument Valley wasn’t the only winner though, as there were also awards handed out in 12 other categories. Here’s the full list of winners from IMGA:
